We were looking for a campsite late afternoon and we rang. Owner was very helpful, met us as soon as we got there. Showed us to our pitch. Offered us any help we needed. The site is a working farm. It's really nice. Facilities are basic but clean and tidy. Plenty of space round the site to walk with or without your dog. We would happily go back there, very nice.

Nice unstructured camping on level ground. Had some facilities, but I didn’t need them. Dog walks and 2 pubs nearby.

Having stayed in numerous campsites around the country over the years, this was probably the worst we have ever stayed in. The campsite resembled a caravan storage yard. The facilities were basic, no hot water, and the toilets disgusting. Owner attempted to change the agreed price from (an already over priced) £20 per tent to £20 per person. The only good thing to say was a flat pitch and a local pub close by. Will not be returning.

We recently spent 10 days camping with an electric hook up at St Peters and thoroughly enjoyed it. Jon was a perfect host selecting us an ideal pitch and even got our car into the local garage when we had a problem. The weather was very good if not a bit hot and the red kites were amazing. The local pubs were also very good. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at this campsite.

2 big fields in the middle of the countryside, seems a free for all in the main fields, big groups allowed, great if you're part of one, not so good if you're not. Facilities etc are horrid, not clean and need complete refurbishment. This place is not covid secure for those concerned. Owner is a nice chap though. Campfires allowed (if you bring wood). Nice walks nearby and nice country pubs especially the bear nearby. In short good for big groups to meet up who don't care about facilities, avoid if couple or family in my opinion

Only stayed one night on way home from France. Owner is a lovely guy. Was cheap @£20 for 6 man tent. Campsite is run down with very basic facilities- wife , son and 2 daughters wouldn’t use the toilets and never even looked at the showers in the shipping container. Loads of old caravans just lying about? Star is more for local facilities

Very nice site, two medium fields for camping with lots of space. Open fires allowed , very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Entrance is slightly unpleasant on the eye with storage areas but once you go up the track to the fields , it's a lovely setting.
